The group MONSTA X will make a comeback in May.
Starship Entertainment said on Wednesday that MONSTA X is set to make a comeback in the K-pop scene with a new album in May.
MONSTA X, which released its mini-album “FOLLOW” : FIND YOU” in October last year, has confirmed its comeback in Korea by announcing its new album release in about seven months.
At that time, MONSTA X received enthusiastic love from music fans by presenting both energetic melodies and powerful performances that overwhelm the eyes through its title track “FOLLOW,” and later expanded its scope of activities abroad to show active global performances. The first full-length U.S. album “ALL ABOUT LUV” and the title track “YOU CAN’T HOLD MY HEART,” which features sentimental pops under the theme of love, instantly captured the hearts of local fans with their soft, sweet music colors that are the opposite of their previous strong images.
As a result, many famous foreign media such as Billboard and Forbes, Time and Rolling Stone received spotlight, while showing stellar performances on various charts. It made record-breaking progress by ranking fifth on Billboard’s main chart “Billboard 200,” ranking seventh on Rolling Stone’s “Top 200 Albums,” No. 1 on Radio Disney’s “Top Radio Disney Songs” chart and No. 5 on Time magazine’s “Best Songs of the Week.”
Along with the news of his comeback, Starship also said that member Jooheon, who temporarily suspended his activities in January for psychological stability and sufficient rest, will return to MONSTA X activities starting with his comeback in May, and that Jooheon is committed to treatment and recovery during the break, and has decided to join the activities after in-depth discussions with the parties, the agency and experts. “I will continue to check MONSTA X members’ condition and do my best to take care of their health,” he added.
Meanwhile, MONSTA X is stepping up preparations for the album with the goal of making a comeback sometime in May, with the specific comeback schedule to be unveiled later on official SNS channels.
